Anchorage has it’s Fourth of July parade, but it was minimal this year . . . blame it on the mayor who decided to tear up all the downtown streets at the same time. Parking is bad enough, but you can’t even drive straight thru town to get anywhere. . . it’s become a game. . . . tourism is also down, but the Euro is strong in USA so we have an influx of Europeans visiting. . . and a maximum number of Mt. McKinley climbers . . . a minimum number of deaths from the same place, plus too many highway crashes. We’re escaped the terrible fires of California and Oregon, so far, so let’s hope we get thru the summer unscathed . . . also downers include (1) bad weather, (2) a losing baseball team and (3) gas priced above the lower states, altho’ we have plenty of oil underground here, but the feds won’t let us drill . . . hardly a fun blog to read today, but I hope you enjoy this image of a typical Sourdough . . . check back soon.
